This meatball recipe is one that I like to use when company is coming over. I comes from my friend Jewell. This recipe would be great for a tailgate party. See note.

Ingredients

ground beef
1
egg
4 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
chopped onion
dash of pepper
1 c
pineapple juice
1 Tbsp
cooking oil
1 Tbsp
soy sauce
3 Tbsp
white vinegar
6 Tbsp
water
1/2 c
sugar
4 slice
pineapple cut in pieces
3 large
green peppers cut in lengthwise strips

How to Make SWEET AND SOUR BEEF BALLS

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix ground beef,egg 1 tbsp. cornstarch, salt, onion, and pepper. form into balls.
  • 2Cook in small amounts of fat in skillet until brown, drain.
  • 3Add pine apple juice to oil in saucepan, bring to a boil over low heat.
  • 4Mix remaining cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar cook until thickened stirring constantly.
  • 5Add meat balls pineapple, and peppers heat thoroughly. Serve hot, Yield 6 to 8 servings.
  • 6NOTE: This recipe can be made ahead of time just heat before serving.
