1recipe meatballs (in jap), prepared

1 lbground beef

1 lbground pork

1/2 conion, minced

1 cgreen pepper, finely chopped

3 clovegarlic, minced

1/2 tspsalt

36 ozcontadina tomato paste

45 ozhunts tomato sauce

9 cancold water from hunts can

3/4 csugar

1 Tbspsalt

1/4 tspfennel

1/4 tsppepper

1/2 tspbasil
How To Make spaghetti sauce, mom's

1After making meatballs, strain oil and use to brown meats, onion, pepper, garlic and salt. Add ingredients down to the water. Skim fat from surface, bring to a boil. Add all but basil, simmer about 2 hours. Tilt lid to allow some of the steam to escape. Keep sauce bubbling slightly. Add meatballs, simmer 1 hour to thicken. Add basil.
