beef or pork ribs with little fat
  • 1 cup
    welches grape jelly
  • 2 bottles
    cookies original b-b-q sauce

  • lawrey's seasoned salt

How To Make slow and steady b-b-q ribs

  • 1
Place the ribs in single layers in pan large enough to accomodate.Poke shallow holes with fork into ribs and sprinkle lightly with seasoning.Add small amount of water to pan to where it is only about 1/4-1/2 inches deep at most. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and place in oven @ 225 degrees. Allow to slow bake for 3 1/2 hours for beef or a bit less for pork, until just done.

Prepare your outdoor grill in time so it is just the right temp...I like my coal glowing pretty bright when I do this. Remove the ribs from pan and place on the grill while still oven hot and brush with the following sauce.

In large sauce pan combine both jars of BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Heat until jelly is well incorporated into the sauce. I usually do this while the coals reach red hot. Brush sauce on ribs, and sear the sauce on with hot grill.Flip the ribs and repeat with sauce on the other side.
