  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    small onion finely chopped
  • 1
    small green pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    kansas city style barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 10
    soft hamburger buns

How to Make Homemade Sloppy Joes

Step-by-Step

  1. Over medium heat in large skillet brown ground beef. Drain any excess grease. Add onion and pepper and cook for additional 2-3 minutes. Add cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, barbecue sauce and ketchup.
  2. Simmer for 10-15 minutes and spoon on to buns.
