Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped
  • 1
    bell pepper, de-seeded and cubed
  • 1 can(s)
    (28 oz) diced tomatoes, do not drain
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • 2 small
    carrots, diced
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 1/2 c
    water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic

How to Make Healthy Beef Skillet

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain off any excess fat.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Cover and cook over medium heat until boiling.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 35 minutes. Serve hot.
