grilled tri-tip asian inspired
Tri tip is a great cut of meat marinated and grilled. I love Asian cuisine. So, I decided to come up with an Asian inspired marinade. The steak was a welcome change. My family absolutely loves it.

Ingredients For grilled tri-tip asian inspired

2-3 lbcut up tri tip beef ( cut in to 2-3 inch wide pieces ( a butcher will cut it, or some times you can find it cut and packaged

1/2 csoy sauce

1/2 csesame oil
-
1/2 cvegetable or canola oil

3/4 choney
-
1/2 clemon juice bottled, may substitute with balsamic or white vinegar

1 Tbspfresh gtound black pepper
-
4 Tbspfresh pressed or grated garlic

1 cchopped onion i used a sweet onion

3 Tbspgrated ginger root

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make grilled tri-tip asian inspired

1Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.reserve a half cup of marinade for basting.

2Place meat in bowl coating all sides.

3Cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours. Remove from refrigerator. Remove meat from marinade. Pat with paper towel to dry. Salt-and-pepper the meat.

4Heat grill to high heat. Start grilling when temperate hits 500-600 degree's. Try to get a nice char on each side.after first flip. Brush meat on cooked side. Continue flipping and basting top every few minutes. The outside should have blackened some what.

5Grill meat rare to medium rare for the most tender steak. Let steak rest covered with foil 5-10 minutes. Cut on an angle in to slices against the grain. Time to serve.
