  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c
    crushed butter-flavored crackers
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can
    spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1

How To Make french bread mini meatball subs

    Preheat oven to 350

    Combine beef, onion, green pepper, crackers and egg in a large bowl. Season with Worc. garlic, seasoned salt, and pepper, mix well. Form into 8 meatballs. Place meatballs in a 9x13 baking pan. Baket in oven for 20 minutes.

    While baking meatballs, pour spaghetti sauce in a saucepan, bring to a simmer over low. Continue to cook while meatballs are cooking.

    Cut your french bread in 4 to 5" slices, not completely opening each slice. Spread a couple spoonful's of sauce on the inside bottom of bread, add a meatball, sprinkle of mozzarella, sprinkle of parmesan and another couple spoonfuls of sauce. Place in oven until cheese melts about 7 minutes.

    You can make this as a snack or serve with potato salad or a fresh salad for a meal. One will fill me up, my husband needs two.
