Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1 Tbsp
curry powder
1 Tbsp
caribbean jerk seasoning
1 tsp
salt

SAUCE:

1/2 c
mayonnaise
1/4 c
plain yogurt
1 Tbsp
fresh lime juice
2 tsp
grated lime peel
1/4 tsp
salt

TOPPING:

4
sesame seed sandwich rolls, split and toasted
1 c
mixed greens

How to Make Firecracker Burgers with Cooling Lime Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat grill to medium heat or prepare coals.
  • 2Combine ground beef and curry, jerk seasoning and 1 tsp salt in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 3/4- inch thick patties. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 13 to 15 minutes to medium heat (160 degrees F) until no pink color remains, turning once.
  • 3Meanwhile combine mayonnaise, yogurt, lime juice, lime peel and 1/4 salt in small bowl; set aside.

    Spread sauce on cut sides of rolls. Place one burger on bottom half of each roll; top evenly with mixed greens. Close sandwiches.
