This simple recipe was given to me by a friend I went to college with. She passed away several years ago from lukemia. Every time I make this, I am reminded of what a great lady she was.

  • 2 lb
    beef sirloin roast
  • 4 medium
    potatoes, peeled and cut in wedges
  • 1/2 pkg
    baby carrots
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1 bottle
    italian salad dressing

How to Make Donna's Pot Roast


  1. Peel potatoes and cut in wedges. Place in bottom of the crock pot. Place carrots on top of potatoes. Then chopped onion (if using).
  2. Use a fork and poke several small holes in the roast then place on top of vegetables.
  3. Pour entire bottle of dressing over roast and vegetables.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until vegetables are tender and meat pulls apart.
