My son just loves when I make this. His favorite thing to eat is cheeseburgers..it is easy, and made with refrigerated bread dough...It is a very tasty sandwich for those cheeseburger lovers!

Ingredients For cheeseburger loaf

  • 3/4 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    onion. chopped
  • 1 sm
    green or red pepper, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1
    tube ( 11 oz ) pillsbury refrigerated crusty french loaf
  • 4 slice
    american cheese, or whatever you prefer
  • 1
    egg white, lightly beaten
  • 3 Tbsp
    shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make cheeseburger loaf

    Gather ingredients Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in flour,salt, pepper, mustard and ketchup; set aside.

    Unroll dough starting at the seam. Pat into a 14 inch x 12 inch rectangle. Spoon meat mixture lengthwise down the center of the dough; top with cheese slices. Bring long sides of dough to the center over filling; pinch seams to seal.

    Place seam side down on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Brush with the egg white. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. With a sharp knife, cut diagonal slits in the top of the loaf. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown.
