bbq beef brisket
(1 rating)
No one has ever turned away from my BBQ brisket and always ask for seconds ! If there is any left over we make sandwiches the next day. I have included the instrutions for oven and crock pot cooking. The one in the picture I made yesterday in the oven. This is before adding extra sauce. I prefer to let everyone do that themselves. I chose to serve it with yellow mustard potato salad, baked beans, and crunchy garlic bread. We had home made ice cream for dessert.

2Rub into brisket on both sides using all of mix.
-
3Place meat into 6 qt slow cooker or heavy cast iron dutch oven. (I use an oval one)
-
4Combine sauce ingredients in a seperate container and pour 1/2 over brisket. Save the rest for serving.
-
5Cover meat and bake at 350 for 4 to 5 hours until meat is tender or in crockpot/slowcooker on high for 5 hours or until tender. (I have had to cook it in crock pot as much as 8 hours depending on meat)
