Growing up my least favorite meal was probably meatloaf. But meatloaf is "man food" and "comfort food" according to my family and probably yours. I came up with this cheeseburger flavored recipe after scouting around online looking at many recipes. I implemented flavors that I think make for a great meatloaf. I hope you have chance to try it. My guy says it isn't meatloaf unless the catsup glaze is on it! The boys say this tastes just like cheeseburgers! So here is my best!

How To Make bacon cheeseburger deluxe meatloaf

  • 1
In skillet on stovetop fry bacon pieces until crisp, remove from pan and drain on paper towels. In a large mixing bowl gently fold together all ingredients except catsup.
  • 2
Spray medium rectangle baking dish or loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  • 3
Squirt or "frost" meatloaf with catsup. I probably use more than 1/4 C as you can see in the photo.
  • 4
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes. About 1/2 way through baking time I try to use a turkey baster to remove the grease that has cooked out of the ground beef dish during the baking process.

For the "Deluxe" I serve this meatloaf with a side salad made with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato & thin sliced raw onion. It really does taste like a Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger.
