How to Make Homemade Taco Seasoning

  1. Mix
  2. The amounts listed above make up about 2 Tbsp. of homemade taco seasoning mix — the perfect amount to replace one store bought 1.25oz packet.
  3. If you’re like me, you’ll want to make more of this and store it in your pantry for ease of use next time. So, here’s the recipe quintupled:

    1/4 C. plus 1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
    1 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
    1 1/4 tsp. Onion Powder
1 1/4 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
    1 1/4 tsp. Dried Oregano
    2 1/2 tsp. Paprika
2 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. Sea Salt
1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. Black Pepper (optional)
