1Core pears. Peel off a strip around the top of each pear, (or peel entire pear). Place pears in an ungreased 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish. In a small mixing bowl stir together preserves, coconut, and almonds. Spoon the preserve mixture into the centers of the pears.In a small saucepan stir together brown sugar, orange juice, butter, and allspice. Bring to boiling. Pour hot sugar mixture over pears. Bake in a 350F oven about 45 minutes or until pears test done, basting occasionally with the sugar mixture. Transfer pears to individual dessert bowls. Spoon sugar mixture over pears. Serve warm with cream.
