This is the way I have been making tea for a long time. So good.

Ingredients For sweet tea denise

  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda (removes bitterness)
  • 1 qt
    (4-5 cups) boiling water
  • 3-4 lg
    luzianne or lipton tea bags (or 8 regular size tea bags)
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar

How To Make sweet tea denise

  • 1
    Put 1/4 tsp. soda in pan.
  • 2
    Put 3-4 Family Size tea bags or 8 regular size tea bags in pan. Pour about a quart of boiled water over tea bags and stir well. Let sit until desired strength (about 10-15 minutes) Remove tea bags.

    Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and stir until combined well. Pour into a gallon pitcher.

    Add enough cold water to the pitcher to make a gallon. Stir well. Refrigerate after making.
