Why have lemonade from a pack when you can make it fresh and impress your friends, not to mention yourself. Add a little of your favorite vodka or rum to jazz it up a bit, or have it just as it is.

Ingredients For real lemonade

  • 3/4 c
    and 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 4 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    lemon juice
  • fresh cut lemon slices for garnish

How To Make real lemonade

    In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.

    Remove seeds from lemon juice with a spoon, but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 3 cups water. Serve over ice cubes and enjoy with a wedge of lemon or lime.
