Sweet, tart, and easy to make at home, lemonade is a delicious way to cool down on a hot summer day. Want to make it even better? Grill and sugar the lemons! Dipping lemons into sugar and grilling them caramelizes the lemons and makes them super juicy. Serve as is with a few slices of grilled lemon or add a little vodka to the lemonade for an adult-only treat. This can be made the day before and refrigerated overnight. After one sip, this grilled lemonade is sure to become a family favorite.

  • extra sugar for dipping

How To Make grilled lemonade

  • Dissolving sugar and water in a saucepan.

    In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. This usually takes 2 or 3 minutes. Then remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Lemons cut in half and sliced.

    Slice 10 lemons in half and the other lemons into slices.

    Put the cut lemons on a clean, hot grill over medium heat.

    Let the lemons cool slightly. Then juice, over a strainer, into a liquid measuring cup. Measure 1 cup of lemon juice.
