If you enjoy a strong coffee with some lovely spice added this coffee is for you. Feel free to alter the spice amount to your own liking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cardamom pods, lightly bruised
  • 4 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 4 cups water + some extra to allow for evaporation
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • prefered sweetener to taste

How To Make kahawa - ethiopian coffee

  • Step 1
    Bring water and cardamom pods to the boil and boil for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to a low simmer and add the ground ginger coffee and simmer 5 minutes
  • Step 2
    Take of heat and strain into cups. Sweeten if desired.
