Cinnamon Almond Hot Cocoa

It doesn't snow very often this far South. So for my "snow-day" I made this hot chocolate and enjoyed the winter wonderland in my backyard.

    quart milk
  • 3 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3
    tablespoons slivered almonds
  • 1
    tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 2
    teaspoons cinnamon

How to Make Cinnamon Almond Hot Cocoa


  1. In a blender ground almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips until fine. Add milk and blend until frothy.
  2. Heat on stove in large saucepan on medium low heat about 10 minutes-stirring often.
  3. Pour in mugs and enjoy with sweet whipped cream or marshmallows.
