This is a sentimental favorite of mine. Not too sweet, a dark lavender color- and with Blackberries! It's a favorite of some guy friends too, who thought it was going to be girly. Not. This actually goes really well prior to having bison, elk, venison or yak. Yes yak. I raised yaks for 13 years. And worked for a bison rancher too. A nice thick rare steak, here I go! Again- fresh blackberries if you can, but I always have an emergency stash Frozen!

Ingredients For the gotham martini

  • 4 oz
    vodka
  • 1/2 oz
    blackberry liqueur- i use marie brizard, if you can't find a black berry liqueur, blackberry brandy- not the same but better than schnapps
  • 1/4 oz
    romana sambuca- or your choice sambuca
  • 6
    blackberries, fresh or frozen

How To Make the gotham martini

  • 1
    one half hour prior to making your martinis, put your shaker and glasses in the freezer
  • 2
    Pour ice into your shaker
  • 3
    Add the Vodka, blackberry liqueur and Sambuca
  • 4
    SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE
  • 5
    Place 3 blackberries in each glass
  • 6
    Shake once more and pour into the glasses. Enjoy!
