limony slush
These began as our versions of Mojitos, but then we discovered we only had two limes - so we added the juice of two lemons and you know something...we liked it even better. :-) Not sure why the picture came out so light - the actual color was much greener.

Ingredients For limony slush

½ cup simple syrup*

2 limes, juiced

2 lemons, juiced

1 cup white rum

handful of fresh mint leaves

4 cups crushed ice
How To Make limony slush

1Combine simple syrup, lime & lemon juice and mint leaves in a blender and blend until combined. Add the rum and crushed ice and blend until slushy.

2Scoop/pour into 4 serving glasses and garnish with mint sprigs or lime slices.

3* Simple syrup – equal parts of water and sugar brought to boil and simmered until sugar melts. Set aside to cool. I keep a covered jar of this in my refrigerator for mixing drinks.
