A local restaurant is known for its white chocolate bread pudding. Bread pudding of all varieties is the go to dessert in most of South Louisiana restaurants . I took several recipes and tweaked it till I liked it and this is what I came up with. This is super yummy and rich. Its probably one of the most decadent bread pudding I have had.

Ingredients For white chocolate bread pudding

  • 6-8 c
    cubed french bread..usually a whole french bread
  • 4 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 4
    egg yolks
  • 22 oz
    ghirardelli classic white chocolate chips(2 bags)
  • 1 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    toasted pecans for topping(optional)

How To Make white chocolate bread pudding

    In a medium sauce pan stir together whipping cream, milk and sugar and vanilla. Bring up to a boil and remove from heat. Add white chocolate chips and stir until the chips are melted and smooth

    Whisk together the eggs and yolks in a large mixing bowl. Slowly add chocolate and cream mixture to the eggs whisking as you add and little bit at a time.

    Spray a 9x12 baking dish with cooking spray. Place the cubed bread in the dish. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the bread. Pressing the soggy bread with a rubber spatula, making sure all the liquid is absorb

    Cover with foil and bake for 45 min at 350. Uncover and add pecans if desired and bake another 25 minutes or until golden brown

    Allow to set up for about 30 minutes before serving. Best served warm
