i create this new bread pudding recipe,with a flavor of sharp cheddar cheese,it's great for with the side of baked chicken,potato au gratin and green peas.

    large eggs
  • 3/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 3 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese,divided
  • 3 c
    milk
  • 1 3/4 c
    whipped cream cheese,divided
  • 1
    loaf (1 pound) day-old french bread,cut into 1-inch pieces

How To Make sharp cheddar bread pudding

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Beat eggs,parmesan cheese,onion powder and 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese in a large bowl until blended.Stir in the milk and 3/4 cup whipped cream cheese until smooth.

    Fold in bread pieces.Let stand for 10 minutes.

    Spoon half of bread mixture in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan;sprinkle with 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese.Spread with remaining whipped cream cheese.

    Spoon remaining bread mixture over the whipped cream cheese.Top with remaining shredded sharp cheddar cheese all over the bread mixture.
