  • 6 slice
    bread
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter (or spray)
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 4
    eggs
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    sugar cinnamon mixture

How To Make john’s simple bread pudding

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Break up the bread slices into a buttered 8x8 oven proof baking dish.

    Drizzle the bread pieces with the melted butter.

    In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon & vanilla.

    Pour over the bread, sinking the bread pieces to make sure they soak up the liquid. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar mix.

    Bake for 45 minutes. Serve when cooled, but still slightly warm.
