sugar
1/4 c
corn starch
2 c
half n half
1/2 c
margarine, cut in pieces
1 tsp
vanilla
nutmeg, for sprinkling

baked pie shell

How to Make Sugar Cream Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine sugar and corn starch in a heavy sauce pan. Add milk to dry mixture and then add margarine (cut into chunks).
  • 2Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and starts to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • 3Pour into baked pie crust and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve chilled. Makes one 9" pie.
