I got the idea for this recipe from one of my favorite cooks on JAP Sandy Griffith. She called her recipe "Apple Jacks". I have a big feeling I did something wrong on the frist try, because it kind of looks like the filling exploded all over the cookie sheet LOL. But it still tasted good. Uncle even asked if he could have another one.

Ingredients For exploding apple trun overs

  • 1 can
    canned buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can
    apple pie filling

How To Make exploding apple trun overs

    Frist pre-heat the oven to 350F. Line a cookie sheet with foil & lightly spray with cooking oil. Pop open both cans.

    Then on a cutting borad spread flour over. Place 1 bisqiut on the flour & careful roll out.

    Then place on the cookie sheet.

    Then place about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the filling in the middle of the falt dough.

    Next flod over & press the edges together. Seal with a floued frok.

    Bake for about 10 to 15 mins or until lightly brown.
