americas best peach cobbler

Recipe by
Denise Jenkins
Akron, OH

I first made this cobbler for a church picnic. The church provides everything, the congregation was supposed to bring sides and desserts. When I arrived, I set my dish on the serving tables, one of the elders asked me was my dessert for the contest, I said no, it's for everyone to enjoy. I proceeded to enjoy the picnic. When I came back, I had a prize sitting on my table. The ladies decided to set my dessert at the contest table, and I had won! This crust was passed down to me from my grandmother who makes the best pies in Akron, Ohio! Any fruit reminds me of trips to the farm with my grandpa
