If you love dark chocolate, then this homemade chocolate brownie recipe has your name on it. These chocolaty and gooey brownies have a distinct bitter dark chocolate flavor. Once baked, a sugary crust forms on top. The recipe makes a large pan, so they're great for a large gathering. We served ours with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a chocolate drizzle.

    sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract (i like mccormicks)
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 pkg
    Hershey's special dark chocolate chips (12 oz)

  • Greasing a 9x13 pan.

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a 13x9 pan and set aside.
  • Melt the butter and sugar together in a small saucepan.

    Melt the butter and sugar together in a small saucepan over LOW heat until totally melted and combined. Do not let it boil! Cool for about 30 minutes. Then pour into a mixing bowl.
