Been making these for some time now,To be honest always bought my shells. My nephew bought me the cannoli tubes for Christmas so I experimented with a few different recipes and came up with this easy easy shell recipe! Because Im all about easy when it comes to cooking.

Ingredients For nana lisa's cannoli's

shells
-
2 1/2 cflour
-
1/2 cshortening
-
3 Tbspmarsala wine (or white wine)

3 Tbspsugar

1egg
-
filling
-
1 lbricotta cheese
-
1/2 lbwhipping cream
-
1 csugar
-
1/2 tspvanilla
-
1 tspmaraschino cherry juice
-
1/2 tsporange rind
-
mini choc chips, cherries, nuts, for decorating
How To Make nana lisa's cannoli's

1For Shells Mix flour and shortening then add rest shell ingredients with a pinch of salt. Roll thin and cut into 3in squares. Wrap around cannoli tubes overlapping and sealed with egg white. Fry in hot oil til golden brown.

2Filling-Whip ricotta and sugar. Mix in rest of ingredients except whipping cream. Whip the cream and fold in ricotta mix, Fill shells and add extras (Choc, nuts etc.) I put filling in piping bag.

3Decorate as desired. Refridgerate for hour to set before serving.
