I've given you the healthy version. If healthy isn't your main thing you may also encrust the Bites with sweetened coconut flakes, salted peanuts or sprinkles just after the chocolate goes on. See photo 2. I've used bittersweet chocolate as it's my favorite but you can use whichever chocolate that you prefer.

Ingredients For frozen banana bites

  • 2 lg
    bananas
  • 1/4 c
    mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    smooth natural peanut butter

How To Make frozen banana bites

  • 1
Set out a large plate or bowl with a piece of parchment or wax paper on it. Cut up the bananas into bite-sized chunks.
  • 2
Heat the peanut butter and chocolate chips in the microwave on high for about a minute (watching carefully). Then stir until smooth.
  • 3
Dip the banana pieces in the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. Lay them out leaving some space between them on the parchment/wax paper. Then when you've "covered" them all, use the remaining mixture to spoon over the tops (for even more chocolate-y goodness).
  • 4
Place the freezer for about an hour until hardened or let freeze completely.
