I love scones but my husban dislike them. I tried this recepie and he loved them. They are very soft & moist scones.

Ingredients For blueberry scones

3 cflour
-
1/2 cunsalted butter
-
2/3 cpowder sugar
-
2 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/4 tspground nutmeg
-
3/4 cheavy cream
-
2 lgeggs
-
1 Tbsporange rind,grated
-
1 tsplemon rind, grated
-
1 tspvanilla extract (optional)
-
1 1/2 cfresh blueberries
How To Make blueberry scones

1Stir all dry ingredients in a bowl. Than add cold unsalted butter & mix until mixture appears like grains. Use a fork or hands..set aside.

2Beat wet ingredients: heavy cream,eggs, orange,lemon grated rinds & vanilla until combined. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredient. Mix gently, dough will be sticky..just add a little flour to board when combing it together. Form dough into a circle & cut into pie shape slices. Melted butter ,eggwash or sugar can be added to top of sliced scones before they go into the oven. I used butter & Later put a glaze on them.

3Place scones on cookie sheet with parchment paper. Preheated oven, Bake @ 400 degrees for 15-18 min or a golden color

4Glaze: 1/12 cups powder sugar 1 tblsp orange juice & 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tablespoon heavy cream. Stir until smooth & apply on warm scones.
