Ingredients For apple fritters

5 mdapples

1 smlemon
-
2 1/2 call purpose flour
-
2eggs
-
1/2 csugar
-
1 canevaporated milk 5oz

1 tspfresh grated ginger

1 Tbspcinnamon
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1 pinchsalt
-
1 1/2 Tbspbaking powder

oil to fry

cinnamon sugar to coat
How To Make apple fritters

1Peel and dice apples. Grate ginger and add to apples along with juice from a lemon.

2In large bowl mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Once well mixed, fold in apples and mix well.

3Heat oil to 350 and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls. Fry for a few minutes (til golden) and turn. Drain in colander (keeps crispy) sprinkle liberally with cinnamon sugar and toss to coat all over.
