A bartender friend of mine got me hooked on a liqueur from South Africa called, AMARULA CREAM, and I can't get enough of it. It's like a fruity, exotic version of Bailey's Irish Cream, & to me it tastes like caramelized fruit (mango, papaya). My friend said this is the most popular drink made with Amarula. This makes a great after-dinner drink. AMARULA CREAM is made from the fruit of the Marula tree, that's found in South Africa. The fruit is fermented into a wine that's aged in oak barrels for 2 yrs. It's then mixed with fresh cream. **Pix isn't mine...(lost mine when moved).
