Poached Pears with Caramel Sauce
4 largepears, peeled, stem attached and bottom slightly cut
1 corange juice
1 cgranulated sugar
1 ccaramel sauce
1 Tbspslivered almonds, toasted
How to Make Poached Pears with Caramel Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, orange juice, and sugar; stir and bring to a boil. Place pears, cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Poach them for 20-30 minutes or until soft when piercing with the tip of a knife.
- Carefully remove them and transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle about ¼ cup caramel sauce over each pear and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
