My husband loves peaches, so I found a simple peach cobbler dessert beginner cook Kay could make back in the mid-80s, and this dessert has been a hit ever since! It is my daughter's favorite dessert. Jerry loves it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients For kay's easy peach cobbler

  • 1 can
    sliced cling peaches with juice (29 oz)
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 1 c
    sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2/3 c
    milk

How To Make kay's easy peach cobbler

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt the stick of butter in a glass 12 X 8.5 dish.

    Chop peaches into bite-sized pieces. Add clinged peaches and juice to the butter. Do not stir.

    Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, and milk. Mix well.

    Drizzle all over the peaches. Do not stir.

    Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Keep an eye on the cobbler starting around the 45-minute mark because ovens vary.
