Ingredients

  • 3
    medium baking apples, peeled, cut into 1/2 inch slices (3 cups)
  • 3
    medium, slightly ripe, firm bartlett pears, peeled, cut into 1/2 slices ( 3 cups)
  • 1/2 c
    dried apricot halves, cut in half
  • 1/2 c
    dried plums, cut in half
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    bisquick
  • 2 Tbsp
    finely chopped crystalized ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    clove, ground
  • TOPPING

  • 1-1/2 c
    bisquick
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp
    coarse sugar

How to Make Delicious Fruit Compote Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl, mix compote ingredients. Spoon into ungreased 8 inch square glass baking dish.
  2. Bake at 375 degrees, uncovered for 25 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in same bowl, mix all topping ingredients, except coarse sugar, using a spoon until dough forms.
  4. Drop dough by spoonfuls over top of hot compote. Sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown.
