I got this recipe from a magazine years ago tweeked it to my taste. I really like it because its really simple to make. Enjoy.

  • 6 large
    ripe pears(peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1
    unbaked pie shell

  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/4 c

How to Make Pear And Cheddar Pie


  1. In a large bowl combine pears, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Toss gently to coat pour into pie shell.
  3. Combine cheese, sugar, flour, and salt. Using pastry cutter cut butter into above mixture until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle over filling.
  5. Bake in 425 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is melted.
