Ingredients For old fashioned chocolate pie

  • 1 1/4 c
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour, heaping
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa
  • 3
    large eggs
  • 3 Tbsp
    margarine or butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • pinch of salt

How To Make old fashioned chocolate pie

  • 1
    Mix well; sugar, flour, salt and cocoa. Add milk, butter and beaten egg yolk. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla. Prepare egg white into meringue.
  • 3
    Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue. Bake at 350 F until golden.
