brothers' cranberry bars

Recipe by

Snagged this recipe from a news paper when I was in college. Since then it has been a holiday staple at my house and is my husbands favorite bar. The only time we've gone without this is when I lost the recipe (still taped on a 3x5 card from back in the day) It turned up 2 years later in the pocket of my friends car where it must have fallen when she was borrowing recipes from me. Just as well that it did as I'd been trying out numerous cranberry bar recipes with no luck finding one this good!

Pour batter into greased 9x13 pan. Bake in a moderately hot oven - 375 degrees F for 40 minutes. (This usually runs a little longer on baking time than the stated time for me but maybe your oven works better than mine test with a knife and when it comes out clean it's done)
