Cutting the fat can be tough if you like baked goods. This recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth,and cut the fat. 2 grams of fat and 75 calories per cookie. 12 Carbohydrates per cookie. They are lighter in flavor than the average Chocolate chip cookie,but very tasty as well. Enjoy with a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients For low fat chocolate chip cookies

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter milk,or skim milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3
    egg whites
  • 3/4
    cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts optional ( fat will be higher if using,but healthy fat)

How To Make low fat chocolate chip cookies

    heat oven to 375 degree's. Line a pan with parchment paper,or use cooking spray.

    In a bowl combine the flour,salt,and baking soda,and Set aside.

    In a large bowl mix the sugar,brown sugar together. Add the softened butter and combine well. Stir in the milk and vanilla.

    Add the the egg whites and mix with a electric mixer until smooth. Add the flour mixture a little at a time. Stir well with spoon.

    Add the chocolate chips,and walnuts if desired. Combine well. Drop by Tablespoons on to sheet pan.

    Bake at 375 degree's for 10 minutes,or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack,and cool. Enjoy
