These easy cookies start with a box of cake mix and have a festive pink frosting and a sprinkling of crushed candy canes. To save even more time, you can even use canned frosting and stir in a few drops of red food coloring and mint extract!

  • 1 box
    french vanilla cake mix (15.25 ounces)
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    softened butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    red food coloring
  • 1/3 c
    crushed candy canes

How To Make candy cane cloud cookies

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet. In a large bowl stir together the cake mix, eggs and oil until combined. Form the dough into 18 balls and place on the cookie sheet. Flatten cookies slightly. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Leave cookies on the pan for 5 minutes, then set on cooling racks.

    In a medium bowl beat the powdered sugar, butter, milk, extract, and food coloring until combined. Spread over cooled cookies. Sprinkle with candy canes.
