Chocolate Mousse

I made this for a Christmas Party and everyone raved about how wonderful it was! It's so smooth and creamy.

1 pkg
(5 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/4 c
heavy cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract
egg whites
1/4 c
granulated sugar

How to Make Chocolate Mousse


  • 1Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave oven. Remove from heat.

    Combine egg yolks and cream and gradually add chocolate, stirring rapidly. Add vanilla and mix well.
  • 2Beat egg whites with sugar until soft peaks form. Gently fold egg whites into chocolate mixture.

    Spoon mousse into decorative mold or individual dessert cups. Chill at least 2 hours.
