School is upon us once again, and kids always want a snack after school...all that hard work, lol. So I made these for my grandkids and they loved them.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 5 c
    corn flakes cereal
  • 1 c
    chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 c
    chopped peanuts

How to Make After school chocolate crunch bars

Step-by-Step

  1. In lg saucepan, combine peanut butter, corn syrup and sugar. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat until mix just begins to boil.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Stir in vanilla. Stir in cereal and nuts. Mix will be stiff.
  3. Press mix into a 9" x 13" pan. Let cool, cut into bars.
