If spice cake and carrot cake got together and had a baby...it would be this cake!

I couldn't decide whether to make a spice cake or a carrot cake...they are both two of my favorites. So I decided to make a cake with the best of both worlds - and it was out of this world!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    shredded carrot
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c
    pineapple, finely diced
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    allspice
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg

How to Make Spiced Orange Applebutter Carrot Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil and flour an 8 inch cake pan.
  2. In your mixing bowl cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and mix until well combined. Stir in orange spiced apple butter.
  3. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, and spices. Stir until combined.
  4. Add dry mixture to butter and sugar mixture. Mix until combined. Stir in raisins, carrot, pecans, and pineapple.
  5. Pour into prepared baking sheet and bake until done about 25 minutes.
