this is a delicious and moist cake very filling I got this from a friend who got it from her great grandma

Ingredients For apple cake

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4
    apples peeled,chopped
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces (optional)
  • GLAZE
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make apple cake

    Preheat oven to 350..flour and grease a 9 x 13 pan In a bowl cream eggs and sugar add oil and stir well In another bowl mix dry ingredients add to wet mixture a little at a time.I do this in my kitchen aid add apples and nuts with a spoon Pour into pan

    Bake for 45 minutes or until done Glaze: in a sauce pan melt butter add milk sugar and vanilla cook on medium heat bring to a boil stirring constantly for 2 to 3 minutes.. pour over warm cake serve with vanilla ice cream
