Makes 4 to 5 dozen melt- in- your- mouth cookies. Delicious right out of the oven with a glass of milk. I love this cookie because it doesn't get hard like some cookies do after they cool. Believe me, these cookies will be gone sooner than you think.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Mix butter with an electric mixer with a paddle until creamy then add your sugars, eggs, vanilla extract.
  • Step 3
    Add dry ingredients into the creamed mixture using low speed until blended. Continue on medium speed for one or 2 minutes then add your pecans and chocolate chips on low speed or mix by hand at this point.
  • Step 4
    Drop rounded teaspoons about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
