I thought if would be a fun post to share about the cookie exchanges that we have had over the years. THis year we had 4 groups and added a fudge and holiday bread group, so I changed the name to Sweets & Treats Exchange. Now, if you have any questions just ask. I tried to include everything. I hope you will try one out sometime, they are so much fun and a great way to usher in the festive Christmas season. Merry Christmas to you all.

  • exchange cookies, fudge, holiday breads

How To Make sweets & treats exchange

    13 dozen cookie group exchange You will need 13 women. Each bringing 13 dozen of the same type cookie and they will exchange and take home 12 different dozen types of cookies. The remaining dozen is for taste tasting.

    Brunch served includes: 4 soups--Wedding Soup,Turkey Chili, Cheesy Cream of Broccoli & Orange You Glad It's Thanksgiving Soup along with homemade rolls. We will also have a spiked eggnog, a kid friendly eggnog, coffee, tea and water. (This year I also had a pickles & olives set out for those who needed a palate cleansing after taste testing all the treats.) I always ask 3 or 4 ladies to volunteer in bringing soups and I provide the rest. Many times I cheat and purchase several dozen biscuits from Red Lobster.

    We will also have contests w/small prizes for most festive, best tasting & best overall cookie & one prize for best overall fudge & another prize for best tasting holiday bread.

    7 dozen fudge group exchange. You will need 7 women. Each bringing 7 dozen sliced fudge and they will take home 6 dozen sliced fudges. The remaining dozen is for taste tasting.

    7 dozen holiday bread loaves. You will need 7 women. Each bringing 7 loaves of one type and they will take home 6 different types of holiday loaves. The remaining loaf is for taste tasting.

    There was also a basket giveaway with "A Few of My Favorite Winter Things" to one lucky pulled name from those that attended.

    We set up the boxes for distribution out in the garage on tables.

    My youngest nephew Noah who is 9 yrs old came to help with all the festivities. He dressed up in a suit and took the ladies coats and helped in anyway he could. I cannot tell you how proud I am of him. --- This is a pic the day of Noah's suit fittings. Somehow I cannot find pics of him from the party.

    Then, the next day I took some Eggnog truffles to my sister's house and he had bought me a gift from his book club at school. He wrapped it and wanted me to open them. Well, here is a photo of the lovely trays he bought me and knew I would love.....so so sweet.
