These are the cutest little cookies that are made in a cookie press and you can have different designs. These are great to make for Christmas cookies , I always add food coloring for different colored cookies.

Ingredients For spritz cookies

3/4 cbutter
-
1/2 csugar
-
1egg yolk
-
1/4 tspsalt

1 tspvanilla*

2 csifted flour
-
colored sugar or decorettes ; if desired
How To Make spritz cookies

1Cream the butter , vanilla and sugar ; Add the egg yolks and beat well.

2Mix together : flour , salt and add to the creamed mixture and mix until all combined.

3Press through a cookie press or a pastry tube onto a cookie sheet ; Decorate with colored sugar or decorettes if desired.

4Bake @ 425° for about 8 minutes.

5For Orange Spritz cookies :

6* 1 teaspoon Orange rind and 1/2 teaspoon orange extract in replace of the vanilla extract.
