This is an old family recipe on my husbands side that was handed down to me when his father passed away...I did try to research this on line but it is nowhere to be found...I talked with my husband and his sister about the recipe and they told me they remember watching their father the home baker, lovingly rolling them pencil length and making the shape of what we now call the breast cance bow and sprinkling sesame seeds on them and putting them in the oven. Then waiting anxiously for them to come out so they could have one, around Christmas time every year.
