My Aunt Eleanor made the best cookies and many of my recipes are ones she gave my Mom or me. These are so good and taste great with the added sprinkled powder sugar on them. I love how the house smells when I make these Holiday traditions.

Ingredients For peanut butter cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1
    egg well beaten
  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    powder sugar for dusting when cooled
